Our verdict on Apex Trader Funding

Apex offers the largest single account in this group at 300K and a 100% split on approved payouts, with evaluations from $137 and frequent discounting. The trade-off sits after you pass: an activation fee applies, and a payout ladder limits how much you can withdraw in the early cycles.

Best for

  • βœ“Traders who want the largest funded tier available here, up to 300K
  • βœ“Traders comfortable waiting through a payout ladder in exchange for a 100% split

Look elsewhere if

  • βœ•Traders who need unrestricted access to profits from the first payout cycle
  • βœ•Traders on a fixed budget who may not account for the post-pass activation fee

Watch out:The evaluation is simulated, the fee is non-refundable and most attempts do not end in a funded payout. Passing is also not the end of costs: an activation fee applies afterwards, and the payout ladder caps what you can withdraw in the early cycles.

Payout mechanics: read the ladder before the split

A 100% split on approved payouts is the strongest headline number in this group, but the word doing the work is approved. Withdrawals run on a ladder that caps early amounts, so the first cycles release less than the account size might suggest, with roughly eight-day payout intervals. A 100% split on a capped withdrawal can amount to less cash in hand than a 90% split with no cap. Model your first three cycles under the actual ladder before comparing this with Topstep, Tradeify or Alpha Futures.

Costs also continue past the evaluation. An activation fee applies once you pass, which is a structural difference from Tradeify and Lucid Trading, both of which advertise no activation fees. Frequent deep discounts on evaluations lower the entry price and, in doing so, make repeat attempts feel inexpensive β€” a pattern worth watching in your own behaviour, since the cumulative cost of several discounted resets can exceed one full-price attempt that was approached with more care.

Scale, instruments and what 300K really means

The 300K maximum is double the 150K ceiling at Topstep, Tradeify, Lucid Trading, Alpha Futures, Take Profit Trader and MyFundedFutures β€” and where Tradeify notes that its largest sizes require combining accounts, Apex's figure is the account maximum itself. Larger simulated capital is not a larger edge: the same drawdown rules apply proportionally, and position sizing that was survivable on a 50K account becomes a much faster path to a breach when scaled up without the process scaling with it. Bigger accounts fail for the same reasons small ones do, only quicker.

Instrument coverage spans futures on indices, metals, energies and crypto, reachable through Tradovate, Rithmic, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Quantower β€” so ES, NQ, YM and GC are all in scope on tooling most readers already know. Apex has operated since 2021, a shorter record than Topstep's 2012 or Earn2Trade's 2017, but longer than the 2024 and 2025 entrants here. Firm age is a weak signal on its own; it matters most when combined with how consistently payout terms have stayed put.

  • + 100% split on approved payouts
  • + Frequent deep discounts on evaluations

  • βˆ’ Payout ladder caps early withdrawals
  • βˆ’ Activation fee applies after passing
